“Tai Chi for Caregivers of Patients Suffering Mental Illness”

Background:

In an effort to improve the mental health of caregivers of patients with dementia in our CIUSS, reduce health care costs and offer this service within the community, the Tai Chi/Qigong project examined the feasibility of this intervention. The intervention took place once a week for 12 weeks, from November 2016 to February 2017 and was run by experienced instructors (Mme. Linda Morin and Mme. Johanne Drapeau). This initiative is in collaboration of SAPA and of the leading practices in Mental Health, aging and caregiver support, as well as with researchers of CREGRES.

This study was evaluated as a clinical service, therefore there is no registration for clinical trials.gov.
